As a law enforcement professional, Information Technology is not naturally my strongest area. Through our normal everyday IT contract with Pantheon to provide City IT services, Pantheon has taken on the responsibility to guide us through all the complex policies we must follow to be CJIS compliant. This includes network security, policy revisions, staying updated on trainings and communicating upcoming needs. Our last BCA CJIS audit in 2023 went smoothly in part because Pantheon provided much of the information to the BCA directly. Pantheon has been able to prevent and mitigate loss and harm in the event of any attempted cyberattack breaches and provides a thorough investigation and after-action report. Working with Pantheon has allowed us to focus on public safety priorities and leave much of the IT tasks to the experts.
